Today T-Mobile released the new Sidekick Slide Scarlet, retailing at $199.99 with a two-year service agreement. This version retains the slide screen and QWERTY keyboard but manages to slim down the size of the design to 4.6 x 2.4 x .68 inches and comes in a black and red finish.

T-Mobile is boasting an enhanced web browser with improved JavaScript support in this iteration as well as a customized MySpace Mobile application available through download. It supports POP3, IMAP FETCH e-mail protocols as well as MMS, SMS, and IM with AOL IM, Windows Live Messenger, and Yahoo! Messenger built-in.

The phone includes a 1.3 megapixel camera, and MP3 and AAC music playback through a maximum 4 GB microSD memory card. It is also Bluetooth enabled and claims six hours talk time battery life.
