Recently ibibo an Indian company launched as another social networking site in 2006 has added a better unlimited Free SMS service in addition to their free call service. Unlike the call service, SMS service is free, unlimited and is supported for sending SMS worldwide.

The improved interface is developed in AJAX and is very comfortable and speedy as well. The thing which made us review their service is the speed. Pressing the “Submit” button at site & receiving the SMS on mobile, this process took less time than you read this sentence (nearly 4 seconds).

The other features which we enjoyed were the contact management system and auto filling of contacts. Believe it or not, adding up 10 friends to contact list and grouping them took around just 60 seconds. It allows up to full 160 characters SMS which adds another point to make it stand out of others. If you send a full 160 character message to your friend it attaches another extended message covering the details of you and some advertisement, which is currently not supported by any other SMS service.

There was an era when Microsoft launched the first e-mail service which was started as a paid one but its popularity and usefulness made Microsoft to launch it as free service with advertisements. The same thing today is happening with the Short Messaging Service (SMS) as more and more groups are coming forward in making the SMS service free with advertisements.
