Sony unveiled their new Webbie HD Cameras MHS-CM1 and MHS-PM1 at the CES 2009. It is aimed at taking Social Networking to a new level by allowing people to capture daily events in HD and upload them quickly to online sites. The cameras can record video in high resolution of 1440 X 1080 or even in standard resolution of 640 X 480. It can even capture still images at 5 Mega Pixel.

All of the images and videos can be quickly uploaded to sites thanks to the inbuilt software. The MHS-CM1 has a slim horizontal design and a 2.5 inch LCD screen that can swivel upto 270 degree making self shooting much easier. It also has 5X optical zoom and 5 scene selection modes. The MHS-PM1 is very lightweight and you can carry it anywhere easily. It has 4X optical zoom and the lens can also rotate and swivel flip over thus making self shooting easier.The cameras are available in 3 exciting colors - eggplant, silver and orange. The camera runs on lithium - ion battery and can offer around 85 minutes of recording on full charge.

The MHS-CM1 is available now at a price of $200 while the MHS-PM1 will be available around April for a price of $170. A cool and stylish camera at a decent price.
