Would you wear video glasses?

Video glassesWhile we're waiting for these fancy portable mini projectors to hit the shelves and this Star Trek iris micro projecting technology become reality, video glasses looks like the most realistic solution.

Yeah, I am talking about the very well known video glasses that in conjunction with our mobile phones can enrich you with the ultimate video watching experience.

It also acts as the very private media viewer that allows hands free private viewing experience, at home or on-the-go.

You see our, lovely Nseries phones are already equipped with the VGA TV out and basically all we need is the glasses that can process this signal and show it right in front of our eyes on a vivid virtual screen.

In a matter of fact, I am pretty sure that there are already some models capable to process the phone’s TV out and all we need is some kind of adapter from the 3,5 mm audio jack to the glasses connector?!

If nothing else I just hope that some Taiwan or Chinese company will read this article and offer some dedicated Nseries video glasses soon at responsible price of course ;)

Sure, the Even if the concept of video glasses is not new, General Mobile is the first company that thought to combine this technology with a mobile phone.

The result – G777 is a trendy futuristic device that could be the premier gadget of the season. You can easily sit back and watch everything from about 3 meters with the help of its glasses.

Moreover, General Mobile added a very cool function that makes the phone suppress any background noise that could bother users during calls.

In terms of technical specs, G777 is a dual-band 900/1800 MHz GSM handset that measures 110 x 51 x 14 mm and weighs 95 grams.

It packs a 2.4 inch TFT QVGA display with 262k colors support, animated screensavers and 20 defined background pictures (they can be changed by shaking the phone), audio player (MP3, MIDI, AAC and AAC+), video player (MPEG4 and 3GP), video recorder, voice recorder, phone call recorder, a nice 3 Megapixel camera, Bluetooth, USB, webcam function, remote control, Motion Sensor and Theft Track (it detects when the phone is used by another user – and locks it if necessary).

Furthermore, G777 comes with a 23MB built-in memory, microSD card support and a 800 mAh Li-Ion battery that can provide about 220 minutes of talk-time and up to 180 hours of stand-by time.

G777 will only be available in the second quarter of 2008 for about 399 Euros ($610)
